Civil & Environmental Projects

Pre-construction services for a new design-build 140,000 SF Combined Residential & Commercial Material Recycling Facility including a two story administration building.  The facility includes an education center, visitors viewing area, loading docks, two weighing stations, employee and visitor parking and other site amenities.

Project Manager for the construction of Phase I (20.5 acres) and Phase II (11 acres) of a 300 acre Subtitle D solid waste facility including, excavation, geosynthetics, drainage systems, leachate transfer systems, lift stations, tank farm and containment structures, electrical, instrumentation and control systems, concrete vaults, roads, stormwater management systems, evaporation ponds, screening berms, and related appurtenances.

Project Manager for the construction of a 10 acre phase Subtitle D solid waste facility including, excavation, geosynthetics, stormwater drainage and evaporation systems, leachate transfer systems, containment structures perimeter access roads and related appurtenances.

Project Manager for the construction of a 5 acre phase of Subtitle D solid waste facility including; excavation, geosynthetics, drainage systems, leachate transfer systems, roads, stormwater management system, and related appurtenances.

Project Manager for the construction of a 12 acre final composite cap system including; waste grading, clay, topsoil, and drainage system.  Cap constructed without interruption to on-going landfill operations.

Project Manager for the construction of Phase I (13 acres) of a 47 acre - 2.8 million cubic yard landfill including; site work, geo-synthetics, drainage systems, leachate transfer systems, lift station, electrical, instrumentation and control systems, concrete vaults, roads, lay down areas, and related appurtenances.

Project Manager for the construction of an 8.5 acre final composite cap system on a 22 acre landfill including; waste grading, clay, geo-synthetic, and drainage system. Project was completed without interruption to landfill operations.

Project Manager for the relocation of 150,000 CY of lime mine tailings and installation of a 30-acre clay and geosynthetic cap system including roads and stormwater management systems.

Project Manager for the testing, failure location, excavation, and repair of over 600 feet of 18" double wall HDPE pipeline.  Pipeline was repaired without interruption to landfill facility operations.

Project Manager for the design and construction of stormwater channels, access roads, erosion control, and three stormwater retention basins with a retention capacity of 26 million gallons.

Program manager for the design and construction of various waste facility projects including; new laboratory HVAC system, climate controlled communications room, pump house and heating system, warehouse interior insulation and liner system, tank farm concrete containment walls and floors, access ladder and platform construction, warehouse roof truss repairs, built-up and metal roof system replacement, high efficiency light fixture replacement, utility construction/repair/replacement, construction and maintenance of asphalt roads and parking areas, stormwater management system maintenance, sewer tank and piping construction, clay mining/hauling/stockpiling/test pads, landfill separation berm, and managed a paper/cardboard recycling program.

Member of process improvement team responsible for increasing a waste facility's processing efficiency by 50%.  The team's problem solving techniques were developed into a corporate wide management training video, and were nominated for the "Presidents Technical Excellence Award."
